HI! i have windows media player 10, sometimes, windows media player 10 will show up the pop up message to Update its software, and then i would always Click No. how do i disable this so WMP 10 wont bug me to update its software, it looks to me that Version 10 wants me to update to Windows media player 11

However I do not want Windows Media Player 11, I want to Stick with media player 10, i went to the Option menu in Media player 10, but there is not option to not notify the software to update…

Under the player Tab there is "automatic updates"

there are 3 options.

Check for updates:

() once a day () once a week () once a monthe

there is no option to disable the update!

SO i chose once a week

is there a way to disable the automatic update for Windows Media Player 10
